Dear Valued Customer,
While Radiometer is doing its utmost to continue production during the rapidly evolving events sur- rounding COVID-19, we would like to provide a new update. Currently we maintain our critical deliver- ies in spite of further precautions taken and increased impact from initiatives by local authorities.
Further precautions taken
Since our last update, we have taken further precautions to safeguard our production and other critical functions. We have mapped all suppliers and critical raw materials and are in the process of stocking up to proactively address the possibility of cross-country borders closing.
We asked all associates, whose jobs allow, to work from home to minimise the risk of transmission. Further, we have ensured physical separation between teams e.g. by creating and separating shifts and applying thorough cleaning between shifts.
Impact of initiatives from local authorities
Our two primary production sites are located in countries where all schools have been closed. This has led to mitigating actions e.g. by moving associates from day shifts to evening shifts, allowing impacted associates the possibility to tend to family needs while maintaining production output.
In addition, we experience cancellation of many commercial flights. However, up until now we have been able to find new ways of securing all transportation globally.
Please do not stockpile
We receive a number of requests for ordering extra accessories and we acknowledge the reasons behind. However, we strongly advise you not to change purchasing behavior and allow us to live up to our global responsibility of making sure that caregivers globally are well supported. We need to maintain global stock to be able to react swiftly to urgent market needs, like the situation in Italy right now. Letting your orders reflect your current need will help us do that.
Our interaction with you will change
Our customers remain our top priority and we remain at your disposal. In the current situation, we will change our work patterns to ensure the safety of both you and our associates.
We will continue necessary service visits to your hospital, but keep less critical visits to an absolute minimum. We will not pay a visit without a request or an agreement with you. Where possible we will work through remote connection to your instruments to avoid onsite visits. Regarding preventive ser- vice visits, we will contact you individually to agree whether a visit is needed now or can be postponed.
Thank you for your partnership as we follow the situation closely and do everything in our power to continue to deliver products without disruption. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Henrik Schimmell,
President, Radiometer
